HSE Shared Services Vision
To deliver a customer focused Shared Service to support Health Service Delivery

NSS Phase l (Planning Phase):
This initial programme phase developed a comprehensive business case which validated that Shared Services within the HSE will deliver real benefits. In addition, scope of activities has been agreed with Corporate Finance, Procurement and HR
The implementation of HSE Shared Services is of major scale even by international standards, and is evidenced from the current annual HSE transaction levels, for example:
- 18,000 vacancies filled per annum
- Approximately 80,000 supplier accounts
- 1.5m Purchase Orders
- 2 m invoices received annually
- 57 m Medical reimbursement transactions per annum
NSS Phase ll (Detailed design phase):
Phase II (Detailed Design) commenced on 7th September 2006 and work to date has concentrated on process mapping of the scope of activities and delivering a definitive implementation strategy and timeline. Current activities of the programme team are focused on examining all options regarding Shared Services implementation strategies in light of current developments regarding national systems projects in Finance/Procurement and HR |
